  Somatic Movement  The main objective of Adapted Spiral Praxis is to support individuals in learning and developing by using a movement-based education such as dance. The objective is to use the concept of the spiral to represent continuous cycles. This relates to dance education because Adapted Spiral Praxis helps students and teachers view learning as a dynamic and ongoing process. This praxis can help those especially with disabilities learn and move. 

 Teaching: Yoga for Kids What age group and/or grade level is her target audience? Why do you think so?  I think that age group the teacher is teaching is most likely pre-K through 1st graders. I think so because the teacher uses a lot of cartoons and animated figures to teach the students and the teacher is wearing a onesie which can cater more towards a younger audience. The movement seemed easy for the kids to learn and the teacher made a lot of animal noises to make sure to keep the students engaged.  How would you adapt her lesson to your own style? Explain.  I liked how she used animal noises to help students learn the movement so I would do that but focus more on doing a follow along type of class where the students follow my movements and associate the animal noises to the specific movement.  Creative Method Why are these music props important for dance teachers?  It is important to have a portable speaker, a playlist on Spotify, and a binder with the songs and lyrics. The lyrics are important so that students can sing the song and move to the lyrics.
