The Kinesthetic Loop

 The Kinesthetic Loop

kinesthetic sense: the process that regulates and guides voluntary movement, a process that involves movement awareness and decision-making

movement forms: patterns that are aesthetically fulfilling

kinesthetic loop: demands the use of senses in different art forms

sensing and feeling are intertwined simultaneously

kinesthetic experience: the loop of communication running back and forth from the body to the brain

two phases of kinesthetic experience: awarenes of subjective and objective experience of moving and express through your body

self identification with experience: being aware of your emotional relationship to information coming to you via senses

force: how movement happens

time: when movement happens

space: where movement happens

3 forms: unison, compliment, and contrast

Activity:

- students will dance out the words by trying to spell it

- objective: students to use their creativity and spatial awareness to act out the word through movement

- lesson title: Dance It Out

- grade level: juniors in high school

- how will we assess it: if the teacher is supposed to guess the word that the student acts out
